Happy Birthday, Jack Herer!

MJ activist, Jack Herer would have turned 80 today. Known as "the hemperer", Herer was an advocate for legalized cannabis after opening his first head shop in 1973 and selling glass pipes. He served as director of HEMP (Help End Marijuana Prohibition). The Jack Herer Cup occurs each November in Las Vegas. PBS created a documentary about Herer's life, "Emperor of Hemp". Sadly, Herer passed away on April 15, 2010 from a heart attack.
