Sugar! Sugar! Sugar!

May 23, 2019

If you thought National Taffy Day might be sponsored by the American Dental Association, we assure you that they are definitely against the sticky substance. Matter of fact, dentists don't think Laffy Taffy is a laughing matter since it can pull teeth out. Taffy pulling parties were popular in the mid-1800s. About that same time, saltwater taffy came onto the scene in Atlantic City.

Taffy comes in many forms. The photo is of maple taffy before it's been pulled smooth. Looks a lot like terp sugar...

Vintage with Style

Just days after Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980, Namco released Pac-Man (called Puckman) in Japan. Before being released in the states, game maker Midway changed the name from Puckman to Pac-Man to avoid any vandalism to the name from people changing the "P" to an "F".  If you've got a hankering to chase ghosts Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde, you're in luck because Bandai Namco has mobile apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Speaking of games, did you know that Candyland was developed by Eleanor Abbott in 1948 while she was recovering from...

High-Flying Pilot

National Strawberries and Cream Day deserves something special. We're thinking Sassy Strawberry Hard Candies with 50mg THC. This sweet day marks Amelia Earhart's solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic in 1932. She was the first woman to do so. Five years later, she disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean near pickle-shaped Howland Island, which is about halfway between Hawaii and Australia.

Flower Power!

May 20, 2019

Oh, happy day! Today is National Flower Day! While we doubt the founders of this day expected Mary Jane's flower to be celebrated on the same day as tulips and roses, we're going with it. We recommend some flowers from Royal Tree Gardens to celebrate this hijacked flower holiday. Don't forget a cool new grinder, too. Treat yourself! It's a holiday, remember.

Already know what you want? Order online, pay in store and you're out the door. Yep. It's that simple. Your order will be ready for you at the store and save you time.

Happy Birthday!

May 19, 2019

May 19th is a special day because it's Devil's Food Cake Day so it seems apropos that Marilyn Monroe first sang her famous version of "Happy Birthday" on this day in 1962. Unfortunately, the world would say goodbye to Marilyn less than three months later when she was only 36. Celebrating this day with Indica-dominant Birthday Cake from Royal Tree Gardens would be kinda fitting. Don't you think?

A Sweet Ride!

If you rode your bike to work today for National Bike to Work Day (or even if you didn't) you deserve to celebrate National Cherry Cobbler Day! It really makes no sense why it's Cherry Cobbler Day because cherries won't be ready on Greenbluff until July, but we're happy either way... yummy in the tummy! If you can't get your hands on the drippy gooeyness of homemade cherry cobbler, we suggest that you stop by for our own version: Marmas CBD Sweet and Sour Cherry Edibles from Northwest Cannabis Solutions. With no THC and 250 mg of CBD, you'll be cherry chillaxed. 25mg $35.

Stewarding in a New Era

May 15, 2019

Nearly 90 years ago today, the first Airline Stewardess began working for United Air. Although she was a trained pilot, it was unheard of at the time to hire a female pilot. Instead, she was hired to be the in-flight nurse providing assistance to passengers who had a fear of flying. Back in 1930, Prohibition was still in force so passengers were not offered any spirited beverages. Oh, how the times have changed. We're especially thankful for the progress on all fronts and especially with i-502, which legalized recreational marijuana in Washington State on December 6, 2012.
